THE 21ST WINTER CUP KICKING OFF: A RACE OF RECORDS AND OF CHAMPIONS!

Free practice held on Wednesday February 17th officially kicked off the 21st edition of the Winter Cup, race that marked another record in terms of entrants and an exceptional participation of World and European Champions. Prefinals and Finals in Live Streaming on Sunday February 21st.
 
Lonato del Garda (Brescia, Italy). The first free practice sessions held on Wednesday opened the 21st edition of the Winter Cup of Lonato. The international race part of the CIK-FIA calendar scored this year a record participation with about 280 entered drivers filling up the grid of all the categories, included the two new international categories OK and OK Junior.
 
The record in terms of participants has been set by Mini Rok, that in the latest few hours rounded up a stunning 108 entered drivers. KZ2 is also going to be quite crowded with 68 drivers at the start, including several champions of the likes of four times World and four times European Champion Marco Ardigò (Tony Kart-Vortex), 2014 European Champion Andrea Dalè (CRG-Tm), 2012 KF3 World Cup winner Luca Corberi (Tony Kart-Vortex), 2010 and 2012 KZ1 World Cup winner and two times European Champion Bas Lammers, who will be at the debut with Sodi, 2010 KZ2 European Champion, 2011 KZ Champion and current KZ Vice World Champion Paolo De Conto (CRG-Maxter), 2011 KZ2 European Champion Fabian Federer (CRG-Modena), 2012 KF1 World Champion, 2015 KF and 2008 KF2 European Champion Flavio Camponeschi (CRG-Parilla), five times World Champion Davide Forè, who will be at the debut with Gold, and 2015 KZ2 European Champion Joel Johansson, also at the debut with Gold. 
 
Category OK will have 34 drivers at the start, including several champions like 2015 World Champion Karol Basz (Kosmic-Vortex), 2012 World Cup winner Felice Tiene (CRG-Parilla), 2015 European Champion Ben Hanley (Croc-Tm), 2015 KF Junior World Champion Logan Sargeant (FA-Vortex), who will be called at the debut in this higher category. OK Junior also features a great participation with 68 entered drivers.
