National categories will take part in the second edition of the South Garda Karting Trophy at the circuit of Lonato, the race will also be valid for the Rotax Italia Trophy and as first race of the KFA Nations Cup for historic karts. Qualifying to take place on Saturday May 20th, Prefinals and Finals to close the event on Sunday May 21st.
Lonato del Garda (Brescia, Italy). The sporting programme at the South Garda Karting circuit will continue on the weekend of May 20-21 2017 with the second edition of the South Garda Karting Trophy and the interesting new competition “KFA Nations 2017 Cup” reserved to historic karts of the 90s with the participation of some champions of the past.
The programme of the weekend in Lonato features Sporting Scrutineering, Free Practice, Official Practice and Qualifying on Saturday May 20th, while Prefinals and Finals will take place on Sunday May 21st.
The race will be open to all national categories, while Rotax categories will take part in the fourth round of the Rotax Italia North Zone and historic karts of 90s in the “KFA Nations Cup”, that is the first competitive event dedicated to historic karts in Italy.
Air cooled 100cc karts, as normal back then, will take part in the “KFA Nations Cup”. These karts will be split in the Classes Pre95 and Pre2000. Some important names of the past will be among the drivers partaking in the event, such as the champion from Tuscany Alessandro Piccini, who is an international karting icon from 1990 to 2001 and claimed 4 World Championship titles (1987, 1990, 1991 and 1993), 3 European Championship titles, 12 Italian titles and 2 French titles.
The race will be available through Live Streaming feed. Live Timing and results will also be available at racing.southgardakarting.it.
Entries will have to be submitted through the website racing.southgardakarting.it and entry fees paid by credit card.
