The 20th Winter Cup that will take place from 19 to 22 February has already scored a huge success of entrants. The race will be valid, for the first time, also for the new Trophy Bridgestone Supercup. KZ2 is packed with more than 60 drivers, good figures also in KF that will feature about 40 drivers, KF Junior will have more than 65 racers on track, while Mini Rok about 40.
Lonato del Garda (Brescia, Italy). Level 200 drivers has been exceeded for the 20th edition of the Winter Cup, race valid also for as first round of the International Trophy Bridgestone Supercup. This is quite an important number of drivers that confirms once more the value of a classic round like the Winter Cup scheduled for next 19-22 February that is among the most sought after international events. The race will also be valid as the first round of the International Trophy Bridgestone Supercup this year.
The 20th Winter Cup announces to have all the character of great international events, featuring important presence with a top class entry list of works teams, teams and drivers. International categories KZ2, KF and KF Junior will be on track alongside Mini Rok. All four categories will fit Bridgestone tyres and Panta 100 octanes will be the fuel distributed on track.
KZ2 will see more than 60 racers on track, including a long list of top class drivers like the World Champion of the category Marco Ardigò on Tony Kart-Vortex. Among his main rivals, team mates Flavio Camponeschi and Luca Corberi (among the top drivers of the category this year), will be joined by other strong racers like the European KZ1 Champion Rick Dreezen on track with Strakka Racing, KZ2 European Champion Adrea Dalè (CRG), Bas Lammers and his new team mate Lorenzo Camplese at Formula K, CRG's trio made by Paolo De Conto, Simo Puhakka and Davide Forè, and then again by Jordon Lennox-Lamb who moved to Birel, Mirko Torsellini on track with team Ricciardo, Joel Johansson with Energy Corse, Massimo Dante and Fabian Federer for the occasion with Maranello Kart together with Lorenzo Giannoni. Team CPB Sport will line up Marco Zanchetta, Giacomo Pollini will be fielded by CKR, Arnaud Kozlinski will be back with Sodi Kart together with Anthony Abbasse, and some other protagonists will certainly be ready to give their best and score a prestigious result.
A total of about 40 drivers will get on track in KF, among the ones with title ambition, Felice Tiene and Pedro Hiltbrand will be fielded by CRG, Alexander Vartanyan by Ward Racing, Nikita Sitnikov, Nicklas Nielsen by Tony Kart, Karol Basz by Kosmic, Max Fewtrell by Ricky Flynn, Leonardo Lorandi by Baby Race, Lorenzo Travisanutto by PCR, but some other protagonists of the category will also be ready to push for the win.
More than 65 drivers will be competing in KF Junior. Among the teams with more numerous lineups, Ward Racing will field 12 drivers, but Ricky Flynn and Birel-Art will also have quite an important presence. This will give an interesting chance to follow the very young drivers of this category at their first experience after the move from Mini.
About 40 drivers will partake in Mini Rok with all the main interpreters of the category. A lot of drivers will have their chance to counter-charge after the challenge in Lonato's Rok Cup International Final at the end of the past season.
The Winter Cup 2015 will also give drivers the chance to score points valid for the International Trophy Bridgestone Supercup, that will take place in Lonato in three rounds. The race is going to have an exceptional money prize worth 40.000 Euros. Following the opener of the Winter Cup, the International Trophy Bridgestone Supercup will resume in Lonato on 3-4 April (Friday and Saturday) and will end on 10-11 October 2015.
