The 29th Spring Trophy reached level 440 participants in Lonato, summing the 236 drivers present in the Final to be held on Sunday March 25th and the 204 that took part in the first round. National categories and Rok Cup will get on track for their North Area in this occasion.
The time has finally come for Spring in Lonato after the cold, snow and rain fallen in the past few weeks. This change came in the due time for the final of the 29th Spring Trophy, the event that will reach its conclusion on Sunday March 25th at the South Garda Karting circuit.
A total of 236 drivers are present for the closing round of the trophy that sees on track the national categories Entry Level, 60 Mini, OK-Junior and KZ2, together with Rok Cup’s that will battle out the opener of the North Area. The 204 drivers present one week ago for the national categories and Iame X30 Trophy, made the total drivers presence at the 29th Spring Trophy sky-rocket to the remarkable figure of 440 drivers.
The participation in KZ2 is quite interesting and several champions are among the 46 drivers on track, such as 2016 Italian Champion Francesco Celenta, who is the main rival of last Sunday’s winner William Lanzeni. Kiano Blum is hunting for another win in 60 Mini, after that claimed in the opener. Regarding Rok categories, Enzo Trulli, son of former F1 driver Jarno Trulli, will be among the 45 drivers present in the Junior. The other categories will also be quite packed, especially Mini Rok that will have 41 drivers at the start, Senior Rok with 37 and Shifter Rok with 21.
The program of Sunday March 25th follows (local time): warm-up from 8:00, qualifying from 9:37 to Heats will follow and lead into Prefinals and Finals from 16:42.
