Lonato del Garda (Brescia, Italy). Following the great success of the first rounds of 2016 on the renewed 1.200 meters of the South Garda Karting circuit, the season in Lonato will continue next 14-15 May with the 1st South Garda Karting Trophy. The national race will be open to foreign drivers competing in the new Rok Cup Challenge, in the National Categories and in the Iame X30 North Area Trophy.
The 1st South Garda Karting Trophy opens the way to another challenge, with the novelty of the Rok Cup Challenge that will run its second round for all the categories: Mini Rok, Junior Rok, Senior Rok, Super Rok and Shifter Rok. The opener was held in Lonato during the Winter Cup but only Mini Rok got on track in the occasion. The 1st South Garda Karting Trophy to be held on 14-15 May will threfore be the first full event of the new Rok Cup Challenge.
In the National Categories, drivers will have their chance to counter-charge after the recent Spring Trophy that saw a record participation of 500 drivers in the two rounds held on March 20th and April 3rd. The victory of KZ2 went to Enrico Bernardotto (CKR-Tm), that of Prodriver Under to Roberto Cesari (Maranello-Tm), while Fabio Danti (Maranello-Tm) took the win in Prodriver Over, Marco Miastkowski (VRK-Tm) in 125 Club, Paul Enders (CRG-Iame) in 60 Mini and Alessandro Antonelli (Top Kart-Lke) in Entry Level.
The X30 Challenge Iame Trophy will have several sporting and organizational novelties in 2016. The race to be held next 14-15 May will be the fourth round of the Challenge X30 North Area for all the categories (and the fifth for X30 Mini). This is going to be a particularly important race, as it will give drivers the chance to test the circuit ahead of the National Final of the Challenge X30 Iame that will take place in Lonato next October 2nd. The National Final will give the top 3 drivers of each category the chance to take part in the Iame International Final.
